THE BEGINNING OF MY STORY
This series is my journey through what I call, “My Kaleidoscopish Life.” We live our lives in a box of constant ever-changing patterns. Color is life and everything wonderful it has to offer. The most majestic visual experience we can naturally encounter is mother nature and its grand spectrum of colors. Take a moment and think about a beautiful sunset or the bluest ocean you have ever seen. These are memories of a moment in color and that made you feel some sort of emotion. I use color as a depiction of emotions, thoughts, memories, and the things that life offers us that are beautiful.
Covid-19 altered my life and I now had an opportunity to make something different with it, something I loved. I had a plan to paint when I retired and now I could do exactly that. I was terrified and excited for the opportunity to do something for myself that added value and something people could enjoy.
It was now or never, I needed to make this work. We have the choice to take the colors life has to offer us and paint the picture we choose. I had to choose whether I was going to paint the same picture and this is where it all started…. “My Kaleidoscopish Life.”
